CHANGES MADE FOR YOU AND/OR YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY

•PHYSICAL OFFICE CHANGES:

  • The REME HALO® (https://www.rgf.com/products/air/reme-halo/), which is an in-duct air purifier which produces Hydro-Peroxide plasma that is distributed through the air handler, through the duct system and into the air-conditioned office spaces was installed.  The charged plasma induces particles to stick together, making them bigger and easier for our filters to catch. Hydroperoxides occur naturally in the earth’s atmosphere and are part of nature’s process of cleaning the air.

  • Two MERV 13 filters were also installed into the ducts of our AC system.

  • UV sterilization units for smaller clinical items were added.

  • High speed suction devices for minimizing aerosol sprays were added.

  • Routine use of private treatment rooms to implement in office social distancing.

  • A plastic barrier has been added at the front desk between you and the person making your next appointment.

  • Dedicated phone for text messaging. (346) 877-0588

  • Removal of all magazines and reading material from reception room.

• PROCEDURAL CHANGES:

  • State regulations require that ONLY patients will be allowed into the office after careful screening. (Very young children may be accompanied by one adult, who must bring and wear a face mask and cannot be chairside.)

  • Technology to the rescue! You will use your mobile phone when you arrive by going to our website (https://www.sforthotx.com/) to let us know you are here by clicking on “PATIENT CHECK-IN” on the home page OR you can scan a code on the front door to begin the check in procedure. This will take you to a health screening questionnaire that will take 15 seconds or less to fill out (DO NOT FILL IN THE “TEMPERATURE” BOX AT THE BOTTOM.) Once you hit “SUBMIT” the questionnaire will be sent to a dedicated phone notifying the front desk that you are here. Your assistant will come out to the car to take your temperature and escort the patient into the office.  Parents can either wait in their car or come back to pick up the patient, but we ask that you promptly pick them up to minimize people in the office.

  • Our entire staff (including me) will be have their temperature taken before the morning begins and again before the afternoon begins.

  • Extended aerosol producing procedures will be confined to separate rooms

  • Only two patients will be seen at a time in the open clinic area. The other patients in the office will be in one of the other three rooms.

  • Selected appointments will be virtual.

  • Our new attire is clinical jackets, masks, and face shields! These make working considerably warmer for us, so the office will be kept cooler. You may want to bring or wear a jacket or sweater.
